Man meint, der Granatapfelbaum sei aus Westasien in den Mittelmeerraum gekommen. 
Er trägt längliche,
glänzende Blätter an vielverzweigtem Stamm. Orange Blüten in Kelchform. Früchte gelb bis scharlachrot,
darauf ein Stern aus getrockneten Blütenblättern. Rubinrotes Fruchtfleisch mit unzähligen Kernen. 


Der Granatapfel ist Symbol unserer Ausstellung; geschlossene Frucht zu Anfang und am Ende der Schau.
Aufgebrochen steht jeder seiner Kerne für einen Beitrag.
Im Spannungsraum zwischen persönlich intimem Erleben, und der durch die eigene Fertigkeit möglichen
Übersetzung in eine Sprache der Kunst, veröffentlichen wir unterschiedlichste Positionen zu "Intimität". 
Damit eröffnet "Intimacy" den Ausstellungssaal der alten Burg.

 
It is said that the pomegranate tree came into the Mediterranean area from Western Asia. Its trunk is
composed of many segments and its leaves are long and shiny. The orange petals are shaped like a chalice.
The fruits can be yellow to bright red, a star of dried petals lies on top.
Countless pips can be found in the
ruby pulp.The pomegranate is the symbol of our exhibition, it is closed at the beginning and end. 
Every pip of the
opened fruit stands for one contribution.
We publish many different attitudes towards the notion of ''intimacy'' which arise from individual intimate
experiences which are translated into the language of art. ''Intimacy'' opens the exhibition hall of the
''alte Burg''.
